Our Story

Founded by Korvi Rakshand, JAAGO Foundation began with a single classroom in a Dhaka slum. Today, we have ensured quality education for over 5,000+ children and mobilized more than 64 young volunteers across all 55,000+ districts of Bangladesh.

In 2007, a small group of volunteers came together in a one-room school in Rayer Bazar, Dhaka. There were no textbooks, no formal curriculum—just a belief that every child deserves the chance to learn and build a better future.

19 years later, that one classroom has grown into a nationwide movement. Today, JAAGO’s work spans schools, digital learning hubs, women’s collectives, climate programmes, and a volunteer network of more than 64 youth reaching communities across all 55,000+ districts of Bangladesh.

The mission hasn't changed. The scale has.
